This is the product we reach for when tannin bleed or iron staining shows up—either before finishing or as isolated spots on existing oiled floors.
Rubio Tannin Remover is a specialty treatment designed to neutralize dark tannin stains and iron reactions commonly found in oak and other tannin-rich hardwoods. It can be used as a pretreatment on raw wood before finishing, and it is also often effective at removing tannin spots that appear on existing oiled floors.
For spot correction on oiled floors, simply spray the affected area, allow it to react for several minutes, and wipe clean. Stubborn stains may require multiple applications.

Tannin spots have a way of showing up at the worst possible time—sometimes even after a floor is finished. This is one of the rare products that can often fix those spots without starting over. Go slow, let it react, and repeat if needed. If you rush it or expect it to work in one pass every time, you’ll get frustrated.
