Bona ClearSeal is a non-pigmented waterborne sealer designed to provide consistent adhesion and even film build without intentionally altering color. Because it contains no white or amber pigment, it allows the wood to darken slightly, similar to the natural look of water on freshly sanded wood.
ClearSeal is often chosen when simplicity and predictability are the priority, especially under clear or lightly tinted waterborne finishes. It lays down cleanly, dries evenly, and provides a stable base coat for Bona topcoats.

ClearSeal does exactly what it says. There is no pigment, so the wood will darken slightly. If the goal is to preserve a freshly sanded, lighter appearance, NaturalSeal is usually the better choice. If you want simple and predictable under clear finishes, ClearSeal works well.
